1.Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941) First Indian noble prize winner, won the award for his collection of poems, GITANJALI in 1931.

2.CV RAMAN (1888-1970) He was awarded the Nobel Prize in physics for his exemplary work in the field of light scattering in 1930.

3.HAR GOBIND KHURANA (1922-2011) He was awarded the Nobel Prize in medicine for his work in genetic research in 1968.

4.MOTHER TERESA (1910-1997) In 1979 mother Teresa received the Nobel Peace Prize for humanitarian work.

5.SUBRAHMANYAN CHANDRASEKHAR (1910-1995)

He was awarded the Nobel Prize for physics theoretical studies of physical processes of importance to the structure and evolution of stars.

6.AMATRTAY SEN (BORN-1933) He was awarded the Nobel Prize in economics for his work on welfare economics in 1998.

7.VENKATRAMAN RAMAKRISHNA (BORN -1952)

He was awarded 2019 Nobel Prize in chemistry for studies of str. and function of ribosome.

8.KAILASH SATYARTHI (BORN-1954) He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2015 for his work towards eradicating child labour and child trafficking.

9.ABHIJIT BANERJEE (BORN-1961) He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2019 for his experimental approach to alleviating global poverty.
